He's lucky he even got him. I hate this mentality in hunters. Taking shit shots on deer like this one.

if thats the shot he intended its not a shit shot. if he was aiming at the vitals and hit that, then ya ,shit shot. I have killed prob 6 deer in my life with head/neck shots with a slug gun open sights @40-50yards. if you're good you can take the crappy % shot cause you can still nail it

Anyone who knows anything knows you don't attempt a neck shot with archery tackle. Your slug gun yeah thats different.

If I aimed for a deers ass and hit it, it's a bad hit.....just like the neck.

Nice deer but a very bad choice for a shot, he got lucky. I have shot over 40 deer with a bow and it's double lung or heart, anything else usually ends up with no recovery.

Went up and pulled the 2gb memory card out of the camera the other day. it had 86 15 sec video's on it. Started watching them seen the typical doe then some 3 poiunter i never seen then as i watched this freakin monster came into view. Hes either a 9 or 10 point, split brow tine on one side and all other tines are like 89 inches or better and his rack goes out past his ear tips when they are pointed all the way out. Damn near poipped a woody. course he only comes out at 3 am lol. Sure gonna try like hell to draw him out and hope this one doesnt catch me drawing back.
