    feeler- 1970 AAR CUDA

know a guy who has a 70 AAR sitting in the garage, been there for 30+ years, 59k miles on it, little bit of rust here and there.. I havent seen the car, the engine is out of it and its not a matching block and the trip carbs are missing, and the shifter.... def a project car and he said he'd take $10k for it since he was offered 8k a few years ago.... if anyone knows anyone who would be interested have them email me.. madmaxin22@hotmail.com

that sounds very tempting, that is one of my all time favorite cars.. I would have to put a shaker hood on it though..

I hope to meet up with him this week and check it out, get some pics and post them on here and craigslist. He's an older guy and for having it this long he isnt in a huge hurry to get rid of it. im just doin him a favor since he has never been on the internet. i know he has a 340 engine for it, but doesnt have the six pack setup and someone stole the shifter out of it when he first bought the car.... hope to have pics later this week, if i wasnt a POOR SOB i would have bought it already...

THE seats are there too, need covers of couse, trunk pan or even a partial is needed, front fenders looked soft at the bottom, spoiler has a small hole on trunk. spent about 10 miutes. ok, heres the pics... not alot of room around it to check it out plus he had to get to an appt. my take is, i'd buy this car if i was better off, put 20k into it and have an awesome 70 cuda to cruise in.

ya he wants to wash it and get it out of the garage for better pics, if he does maybe i'll tell him we should put it on ebay so he can get top dollar and serious buyers that know what its worth.... or someone just buy it and save the aggrevation... pretty sure he'll take 10k, he was kinda drunk when i threw that # at him.. guy offered him 8k 2 years ago after checking it out for a few hours.

Wow, no AAR markings, but tag does say trans am, which would denote an AAR. Amazing car, but there is ALOT of work there.

talked with a "mopar expert" yesterday after seeing the listing... he said that 10k is probably an "okay" deal. he has seen # matching projects go for mid-high teens depending on the condition. he felt that since the car was not #'s matching, it should bring 8-14k.

2 years ago my uncle got a AAR/Trans Am car that was complete but rough for 16K. It was 100% complete and #'s matching.... I have no idea what they are worth, personally I would scrap it.
    It's a chrysler.....

when they are #'s matching and a full resto is done...aar's will typically bring 70-85k. non #'s matching cars can bring 40k+. like anything else, depending on the quality of car will drive the price through the roof

x2 ^^^^ shoulda took the 8k and ran with it, the problem with that is u pay 10k for car and at least 20k-30k restoring it rite, plus the purches of a non matching #motor (date code prob closest thing u'll get unless u restamp)10-15k so where does it put u around 40k car not worth it... k my chevelle was appraised at 89k matching nom, build sheet and all. prob.could onlt get 40 or 50 for it rite now if i was 2 sell it market went bad... like i said shoulda took 8k and ran with it... it looks 2 have been b5 blue buy pic of trunk...

plus the trim tags are screwed on not rivited... :(

sorry if this goes against the rules of web site, let me kno, just dont wana see any1 get ripped off...

im not offended, not my car. i think it is a legit car, i know nothing about these cars or this one other than he has had it for over 30 years. Im sure whoever is in the market for one of these cars will be able to tell if it is original or not before buying. It does come with a 340 motor, just not a numbers matching motor. i thought the same thing about it being the b5 blue color from the little reading i did on the internet about the aars. will prob end up on ebay/craigslist to find a mopar guy with the means of restoring her properly...
