Standard SCT Xcal3. Custom tuning is pretty much reserved for a modified engine, not much (if any at all) benefit to custom tunes on a basically stock V-10.

well, the sf3 handheld come with 3 preloaded tunes that are pretty good, i have one in my shop truck and it makes a noticeable difference and about 1/2 a point in mpg..

I had a SuperDuty with a V-10 a few years back and ran the SCT SF tunes on it. I also formatted it into a 9400 software and had Erick Eldruth do a set of tunes for it (after he told me it was pointless....). Mine had cat back duals, intake, tuner and thats it. The tuner did wake the V-10 a bit, made it much more responsive and "snappy". It was worth it, especially back then when fuel was a bit less costly, I ran a super unleaded tune so only purchased the good fuel. It made driving the beast more fun. The exhaust sounded great!

    I recomend it.

My pal has an 06 F-150 with the 5.4L and has an Edge Evolution on that, it makes a huge change with super unleaded in the 5.4 Triton and the Edge.

For the Superduty V-10, I think the SCT is the way to go. Call RodTosser (thats a joke!) and grab up his SCT unit... and go smoke some 35" tires! Mine would toast the 35" BFG Radial A/T KO tires like nothing!

Give Rod Heaver a call, he says he has just what you need setting there on the shelf

    RodHeaver,

I got to ask... how did you come to decide on a name that implies that you break a lot of engines? I've thrown (heaved?) a few expensive rods through a few expensive blocks (SVO and Eliminator HP Billit)... and I NEVER wanted to call myself BlockWindowMaker or RodThroughTheBlockDude. So, there has to be a good story behind that screen name.

Please...share. PM if you must, but I got to hear the history following that name!
