new to me 97 stang gt.....plenty of ideas and plans. some soon some later...

ok so ive had my stang for about 4 weeks now. and since ive finally got it running right, ive decided to make it a track car. and not the straight line track either.

here are current mods + future ones arranged then ones i want to do as soon as i can:

o/r x pipe with 40 seires flows (current)
Short ram intake (current and i like this better then fender well cause the water issue)
    royal purple fluids
    hurst white ball shifter

now soon to be done when i head out of town:

    new spec stage 1 clutch
    ford racing 3.73 gears
    dyno/tune + sct tuner

now for the goodies: (and keep in mind im not going to do too much to the motor for now)

    6 point roll cage
    racing seats and harnesses
stripping the interior and doing dynamat for soundproofing
    steeda tri ax shifter
some sort of suspension handling kit (havent decided on a specific one but input is wanted to help decide)
black fr500 17x9 fronts and 17x10.5 rears (this will be a bit after or inbetween some of these)

thats about it for now. just want a safe dd with potential for a ton of fun for beaverun in the warmer months.

let me know yalls opinions on whats going on here. thanks

and for those who havent seen my introductions heres a pic of the car

Sounds like a nice project! I think you'll have to lose the quad shocks if you run 10.5's in the back. I have aftermarket 10.5 bullitts on the back of my '90 LX with 315/35/17 Sumitomos and clearance is at a premium - even with a spacer and without the quad shocks. Almost zero clearance between the tire and the exhaust pipe. Maybe the suspension setup you're looking at eliminates the quads?

But the big fattys sure look good under there...
