I get a kick out of reading all these posts...and sorry for getting off topic into Ed wanting a Glock....not quite sure how all of this deals with you wanting gun but if you do get one and ever need anything, i am a Certified Glock Armoror.

I am sure some may benefit from tips posted for the next time they are in thier next gun fight......

I will say this: Coming from someone who actually carries a firearm daily for a living, and i am also certified through the State Police to be one of my depts firearms instructors, i would love to have a larger round in my sidearm vs the crap 9mm Speer Golt Dot HP i am issued and that we have been using for the past 11 years.
Actually i'd bet my life on it.

The moving trend is most LEO depts out there are switching to the larger ammo and for most depts who haven't switched like us it's all about cost at the present.

I certainly know once its time for new guns we are going to glock .45

I know of one guy on this site who could set everyone straight about ballistics testing of firearms!

WTF is right Russ! 9mm vs. whatever, I don't give a shit. I'll put just as many rounds on target with a 9mm, 10mm, .45acp whatever. The 10mm is what I choose to carry everywhere I go and want a Glock 29 to have a more concealable frame to carry.

If you know of a "USED" one for sale let me know. I'm not interested in stores or internet sites selling new ones. I have a very good friend with a Class III FFL and a Class II manufactures liscence that I can get me a brand new one at his cost for less that $500. Used ones are only worth between $350 - $400.

Not sure if you are referring to me but I am a forensic firearms expert. I deal with firearms and shootings every day. I wont comment on all of the shot placement debate but I carry a Glock 29 10mm as my concealed weapon of choice.

Ed, good luck in finding a good used one.

I have a 29 and 33, carry the 33 most of the time due to it's a little smaller and the 33 has a 3.5 lb trigger and lazer grip.

The S&W 500 is no joke man. I shot one when I was at smith and wesson doing training with the FBI. It has considerale recoil. I'd recommend holding that thing pretty tight.

Thanks, but I have a copy of my buddy's FFL. If I find something out of state I just have to mail a copy of it and any gun will ship right to his door.

BTW, he is also a Class III dealer in case you or anyone else is in the market for a Full-Auto, Short Barrel Rifle or Silencer.
