    My new '65 fastback

I just bought the car from the second owner in Oregon. It is in mint condition, pure stock, and only has 55,000 miles. It's Sprintime yellow, and has a tan pony interior. This combination makes it 1 in only 5,500 produced back then. It's a "C" code 289. I should be getting it next week via an enclosed trailer. Can't wait!

It's going into storage now until around March or April (when all the salt is gone). I'll get it inspected, and drive it all Spring, Summer and into Fall (no rain).

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Congrats on the purchase! Car looks great! The springtime yellow looks great with the palomino? interior! Has the car been restored? Original sheetmetal? You'll like the power steering. Post some more photos once she gets home!

You won't believe how I'm praying for an early Spring. This waiting is going to drive me nuts.

Thanks. The car is all original as it was always garaged and never driven in bad weather. It spent its first 35 yeras in California. The second owner who bought it in 2000 was kind of anal (in a nice way) and took super care of it. The motor was pulled and all hoses, gaskets, etc. were changed. The engine compartment was cleaned and repainted with all proper decals. All new brakes and lines, etc. I'm glad he took care of all of this!
