Anyone interested in a dark blue REAL carbon fiber joe rocket helmet? Size large?
Adam, were you able to set up the suspension on your buell by yourself or did you need someone to help with doing adjustments?
S5, are you talking about physically turning the spanner wrench and the screwdriver?
Or, are you talking about what number of clicks to decide on according to the chart?
either way, I did it myself and if I wasn't OCD, it would have taken 10 minutes tops and that includes the time to take the seat off.
BTW, the 12 has an open airbox from the factory. I'm not going to mess with that because I want to retain the exhaust servo in case I ever want to go back to stock. as far as the breather goes, I'm lazy + I got the oiled K&N and the little bit of crankcase mist shouldn't affect the K&N like the paper stocker.
I just can't wait to get a baseline ride on this thing, get my free 1,000 mile service, then I can install my parts.

Do you have a service manual and just go off that to get the correct settings for your weight?
If you wanted to do the real open airbox and keep the servo, i can help ya with that.. How many miles are you on now?
the suspension setting chart is in your owner's manual. if you don't have one, go to Buelletin Board or Bad WEather Bikers and search it. if you can't find it, I can scan it and send it to you.
make sure you get the right page. the xt and ulysees are different. I actually like the bike better on the settings that are up one weight class than where I am.

I got 906 right now. the 1,000 mile service is basically a glorified oil change. I may or may not take that ride to Highland???
edit: here it is. "tighten" or crank all the adjusters IN, but be careful... don't kill them. then back them out the exact amount of turns on the chart.

Thanks adam.. They do alil more than oil change from what i saw.. They checked and double checked all my bolts, changed the oil, checked spark plugs and all the bells and whistles.. that's cool, Scott. those black wheels will let you put any damn color on there that Buell ever made for the Lightning. I think you should do white next.

haha.. yea thank goodness i never got them powdercoated..
