anyone on here work at a dealership? a buddy of mine is looking for a newer sport bike and wants to finance but doesn't want to carry full coverage. I said he was crazy but he heard somewhere that some dealerships would go for that. Is he full of it or what?

Its not the dealership that goes for it, its the manufacturer..... when you finance through the manufacturer, e.g. Yamaha, they don't give you a loan, the way a bank would give you... They clear you for a credit card in the amount that you want to purchase the bike for... You end up purchasing the bike on a credit card, that usually has a low rate for about 2 years or so.... With the bike not used as collateral, you don't have to have full coverage....
