My 09 R6 was stickered at 9,448 and i got it for 8 flat after tax and title. Some place won't cut prices, but there's PLENTY of used bikes around so keep lookin for the right one. Run a tough bargain with them and you'll get a deal.

Oh yeah, they're also running crazy deals on 09 CBR 600s. i think like 7900 before tax, title, and assembly.
Thanks! I've been looking around craigslist and theres only one of the bike I want and the same guy posted the exact ad about 15 times

I'll start to look around at dealerships tomorrow then. Be sure to post up some pics of your bike!

I picked up the R6 tonight at 7 and road until around midnight with a few stops in between. This thing is (IMO) scary fast, i love it. It'll power wheelie without any consent. haha

Congrads on the bike. Don't forget to post up a pic. And yeah todays 600's are pretty fast and will dominate some 900cc bikes of not that long ago. In my opinion any late model 600 is really all you need around here in the burgh. If you lived out west then you would have to get you a 1000 for the nice long straight highway's.

you'll find some people that think 5K miles is a lot on a bike, but that's absurd!! These engines can last for 80K or 100K miles if they are taken care of properly.... E.G. i bought my prev bike (TL1000R) with 13K miles on it.... i sold it with 37K miles on it, and it ran flawlessly.... never burned a drop of oil, not a bit of power loss, not a bit of valvetrain noise... not a single thing wrong.....

I sold it 2 years ago and bought my R1... it had 6.5K on it then, and has 13K on it now.... the thing is spectacular... honest to god, after 1000 miles, when you look at the clutch window to check oil level, the oil is the same light-brown color it was when it came outta the jug.... I've also not had a single bit of trouble with the R1 (knock on wood)...

Being that these machines run at such high rpms, i change oil every 1250-1500 miles... yes its excessive, but i run my bike pretty damn hard, and its only 3 qt of oil per change.... when i had the TL-R, i changed every 3000, but i also put about 10-14K miles per year on it..... i was in college then - nowadays, i don't have near as much free time so i put about 4K per year on the R1...

I'd say that the most you can hope for is that the bike was broken in properly - meaning it was run like hell right out of the gate.... :D i'm serious
