i will probably have a new bike by the time you ride again hahaha
I put my Buell in the basement this winter to free up some space in the garage and our tomcat has taken up residence on the seat. He does it just to jack me off. It can't be comfortable. He sits all side-saddle and squints at me. First time I find a piece of kitty litter on it, he's toast.![]()

well that doesn't say much..... :p lol
Nah, last year (2K miles) was an exception as opposed to a normality.... the TL-R got lots of miles every year (14K one year), but that was back when i was in college, and not only did i have more time, but the cost savings were crucial.... The R1 hasn't gotten as many miles each year, but i still put plenty enough on it to keep it fresh... I think 4-6K a year and i'd be happy... With the wedding, another exam this spring, building the house, and Ang's health issues, i can see the first half of this year being another low one - but i think i can make up for it in the late summer and fall![]()

eh, i'm just jaggin' with ya... if its on 2 wheels, its pretty cool to me...
As much as i'd love to have the motor in the new R1, i really don't care for the looks of the new bikes so much... none of the manufacturer's bikes are very appealing to my eye... i'll probably never sell my bike for another one, as i think the '04-'06 R1 is the best looking bike ever made... and trust me, there's plenty of motor there to keep anyone happy...
if you ride a litre-bike and think its wild, just wait til you open it up... its like modding a LSx or the new 3V's, they just go ape-shit... when I put the race-headers and PCIII on the bike, it made the bike absolutely explosive upwards of 8K rpms... i rode with a guy that had the same mods as me (slip-on, PCIII, intake, etc) except he didn't have the headers, and my biek would freight-train his in the top end, even with the gearing advantage he had on me

I think a 2011 SV650 is calling my name come spring to add to the stable
Need some imput. I want to get a bike for this summer. I have never rode but I have always wanted to.
I really like the 50s-60s "bobber" style bikes. I am not into for lack of a better term croch rockets or that style. I would like something easy to handle and hot a ton of power to learn on.
Any ideas on what I should look for or just advice?

Not quite sure what you consider a bobber but if you talking about a stripped down rigid frame (hardtail) bike with a hopped up motor I would not recommend one for a first bike or only bike. Bobbers look cool but really beat the crap out of you which make them good for one thing ..... bar hopping!
If you like that style I would recommend one of the Bobbed Harley Sportster's, 883 Iron, Nightster or Forty-Eight.![]()
Im looking for something cheap. I cant drop 10 grand into a bike.
