That's just as crazy! Really, though what happens if either one crashes? And, how do they start their races? Is someone allowed to hold them up at the start?

    I love his number... 1/2

Good question. I'd assume it'd be more difficult for the motocross dude. He probably is allowed to have someone hold the bike at the start.

With the amputee, I would think he'd be able to lean the bike to his left side and keep it upright on his own.

Finally got the right back seat. Also installed a -1 front sprocket and painted my wheels black, gonna do my frame and swingarm next. It runs realll good with the sprocket, I didn't really have trouble keeping up with my buddies modded 08 ZX10R and 05 GSXR1000 yesterday. I need to fix my speedo now, had it up to 185 mph with more room to go.

Bike looks great. I got mine out yesterday, finished the last set of winter mods, and took a few runs up and down the highway with the girlfriend. Definitely feels good to get back out on two wheels again.

I'm still getting to know mine. It's amazing how the front-end feels on this R1... like it is literally nailed to the road. Other than a slip-on, mine is bone stock. The motor has so much torque down low (even at like 4k rpm), it feels like an electric motor. Tranny is a little notchy. I did read about that. Def. not Honda smooth, but not something I can't get used to.

I bought the mirror finished shield, and within 3 months the finish had began to fade and become "splotchy." When I contacted Icon they said I must have cleaned it with an abrasive material. I only use a shield polish designed for helmets and a microfiber towel so that's not the case. Regardless, they refused to refund me or replace it. I now have the dark smoke, and hope to have a better experience. I wish they made a red chrome one, it would look pretty cool with the white, carbon, and red.
Im actually thinking about getting that in black, looks like a sick helmet..have you rode at night with the smoked visor? I want to get one, I just dont know if it'll be to hard to see out of at night.

I ride with a smoke visor, day or night. It's obviously a bit harder to see but nothing that I feel is dangerous or that you can't get used to.

I do believe that's illegal in PA. Just sayin... for future reference.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. Then again, so are my front flushmounts, my windscreen, integrated tail, and lack of plate lighting.

Figured why not add to it.

Alright, I guess I could leave the visor up at night if its to hard to see and keep a pair of clear safety glasses in the storage compartment just in case

I have always rode with a dark tinted visor, never really minded it. A couple nights ago I borrowed my buddies helmet which had a clear shield on it, definitely was nice being able to see EVERYTHING. Now if I go out at night I'll switch to my clear.

Anyone use a mirrored shield at night? How do those do? I'm getting a blue mirror shield to match the helmet and bike.

Any tinted one sucks, I tried them all, then tried clear glasses with visor up, it works in a pinch but still sucked. I then found I could get my visor in the trunk so I always had my clear with me.

No way would I ride at night with a tinted visor.

That's a sweet Icon jacket Nate. I got this one in all black like the pic. Most of the stuff Icon makes is too gawdy for me. I am so curious to know if that metal spike on the back will throw some awesome sparks if I'm sliding down the road on it at 80mph or so.

It is what it is, my man. As far as performance, fun, handling, braking, etc. etc. etc., the Japanese and Italians got it all over American motorcycle companies, hands down, no question. I've owned them all. I will say, I will probably own another Harley one day, but while I'm still able to swing a leg over a sportbike and deal with a little pain in my back, neck and wrists, it's waaaaay worth it.

If you're into leather fringe hanging three feet off your grips, drunken biker orgies, fat chicks (like for real --- big fat chicks with cottage cheese ass) with thongs and flabby titties hanging out, drunken bar fighting, etc. etc. etc., then you need to join an Outlaw Biker Club... ie 1%er.

Or, you can be like 99% of Harley riders (like my grandpap) and ride around on your Street Glide to Panera Bread on Sunday afternoon and say prayers together that you'll make it home safe.

Just my take on motorcycling in America... circa 2013. My opinions, of course... don't take it personal, but feel free to flame away.

This is about right. Agree with it all besides owning a Harley. I will never venture down that road. My next will be another Jap liter or a Duc.

But more to the point, are we still calling non-American shit "rice"? Are we 15? Well, I guess no thread is complete on SCS without at least one moronic post.
