OMG, yesterday, my buddy (with the DRZ400SM) and I go for a ride. the planned route was 201 from C'ville to 906 through the valley, back 136, hit Arona road and back to C'ville... but I digress. He gets a flat at the intersection of 906 and 136 which was the furthest point from home. The supermoto tires have tubes, so it's done. We call Miller's in Rostraver, they have no 17" tubes. Neither does Angel's or Tom Clark. Oh well, I ride home, get truck, go back, load him up and take him home. He lives in Hopwood.

We stop at Pappy's on Route 40 on the way home.
It's a decent little six-pack shop with some microbrews and decent bar food. So, we sit outside staring at his bike on the back of my truck.

These two Harley dudes show up and they act exactly like the f4gs from the South Park episode. Not kidding. They were revving on each other. They were annoying as hell and drunk as sh1t. One of them kept talking to us and asking if we "rode". We pointed at my buddy's bike 3 times and said "yes". Then, the other one kept telling us he had $35K invested in his Sofftail. It was a nice bike, but I'm thinking 17-18K max. Unless, he had a few bags of blow stuffed in the saddle bags.

Neither one of them had a shirt on. They rode in with jeans, boots and no shirt. WTF? Kept calling each other "cuz" and I swear the one with the road king had hair nation on his satellite radio and left it play while they sat there.

It was one of the funniest, weirdest 1/2 hours of my life.

Well I ran them all and I been riding a cafe's since 1988. Dollar for dollar the sport attacks have been the ones I come back too. I will say this too. I DO NOT ride like anybody normal on the street. I get no mileage out of any tire. Not one ever lasted more than 1500, normally less. Its not from burn outs either, I never do that, its bad enough to buy them as much as I do just to keep riding. Out of all of them I feel more confident with the conti's. Second I liked the PP 2ct but, way over priced and perform the same as the conti's. Both I never had to wait to brake them in. Put them on and right into the turns full tilt. Hardly any warm up time at all. Dunlops are good too but, WAY to heavy!!! Really feel them when trying to turn. I couldn't believe how hard it was to turn with them. I had shinko's one time, I didn't have any extra cash so I got them and though I was going to die with them on! Never had a tire act like there was oil on the road all the time! I can rabble on and on but, everybody's feels different about tires. I do ride on the outer limit's of a street tire so, I'm really picky. I really like to use every bit of a 1000 cc bike. LOL Can you get me deals like this on them? Let me know.

I have a quick question for you guys...

I've been looking to get a bike for the past year or so but have come up empty handed. Do any of you guys know where I can begin to look for a used 06-09 streetbike? I've been browsing craigslist and cycle trader but haven't really found much.

    Thanks ahead!!

I just got done with my hunt for one. I found all kinds of deals at dealerships. Just do a search of the dealers in a 20 or 30 mile radius or however far you're willing to go and give them all calls to see what they have pre-owned. 9 times out of 10 they will make big cuts on the stickers of them. My 09 R6 was stickered at 9,448 and i got it for 8 flat after tax and title. Some place won't cut prices, but there's PLENTY of used bikes around so keep lookin for the right one. Run a tough bargain with them and you'll get a deal.

Oh yeah, they're also running crazy deals on 09 CBR 600s. i think like 7900 before tax, title, and assembly.
