well, i sold my CRF450R last night...........
Gonna miss it.... i think i gave the guy a really good deal, but i also got what i want out of it........... Since i've been saving every spare penny for my wedding in May, i haven't been willing to spend the money to buy the wideband upgrade for my nitrous controller on the 'Vette... so i decided that i'd sell my dirtbike, buy another dirtbike that's just a couple years older (probably a early 2000's KTM 300 2stroke) and use the leftover money to buy the upgrade...... Ordering nitrous parts ------ now! :D
Also, didnt sell teh bike til i had anotehr one lined up, so i may end up with a new dirtbike by the end of the weekend.... lol - another reason for the sale is the long-term costs of owning a 4-stroke vs. a 2-stroke... $150 per winter to put a new top end in the KTM is a lot cheaper than the nearly $700 i put into rebuilding the CRF's motor last fall.... it sucks cuz the motor is fairly new and will last for quite some time, but i really want to use this damn nitrous kit, and i've been very strict on not using it until i have a wideband....

started an engine swap today. Existing engine in my 89 had a bad knock/tick that sounded like either piston slap or something equivalently bad. My other motor is lower milage and about the same compression on a compression test but at least it doesn't make any weird noises.
Part 2 will probably be Sunday. Part 3 if needed will be Monday.
put alil over 400 miles on the bike today. Rode out to gettysburg and to Battlefield harley.. I got some pics and will post them up... Who ever said that a harley is NOT more comforable to ride than anything else, is WRONG.. I couldnt be happier with how comfortable i was the whole ride since this was the first "real" ride for me and the bike.. Im def addicted now..
Next weekend, Bike show at mountain house bar on rt30 or did i mention there will be jello wrestling?
I think comfort is what you make of it. Some bikes do have a natural ergonomic advantage over others, but with so many options out there you can really make any bike comfortable. My stock seat is like a piece of plywood with some padding and a cover. My gel seat is heaven.
granted, i didnt drive 400 miles on it, but between the GSXR and the harley I tried the gsxr seemed more comfortable for the kind of riding I do.
