LOL maybe! And here I thought $10.00 a pack for smokes and 14 bucks for an 8-pack of beer was messing with me enough ;)

EDIT - now it works fine... weird!

You are obviously in violation of the Patriot Act.

Check this quote I found in an article about the Ducati 796 Monster:

It needs to be remembered first that the Monster was originally Ducati’s unique take on the cruiser market – in the early 1990s the Italian factory wanted a slice of this lucrative and growing sector, but without taking the default route of copying Harley-Davidson.

That's a really tough call... each has their own plusses and minuses but I will say here is better for motorcycle riding than Fairbanks :)

I know I had my heart on a SV650, but....

    A CHALLENGER APPEARS!!!

    http://hondacanada.ca/MCPE/Motorcycl...VFR1200FADCT10

Honda's storied V-4 heritage has been re-invented in an astonishing new sport motorcycle that's unlike anything you've ever seen, heard, or ridden. Drawing from an impressive history of V-4 innovation, the all-new Honda VFR1200FA incorporates technology borrowed from such diverse sources as MotoGP, motocross, and even high-end sports cars. Its 1,237 cc engine has a narrow 76-degree cylinder angle, Unicam™ valve train, asymmetrical front/rear cylinder spacing, and other advanced features, which combine to produce a remarkably compact engine. Throttle-by-wire, a smart new shaft-drive system, Dual Clutch Transmission... it all adds up to a futuristic new bike for those who love to ride hard, ride far, and ride often.
Absolutely bad-f***ing-a$$. I love the tech, the engineering choices, and the styling. I would make payments for this

Nice bike needs some customization. The VFR800 (PREVIOUS MODEL) is one of my choices as well for some of the same reasons.

Oh for sure. There are always things you can do to a bike to tweak it just the way you want it.

I'm a big fan of honda's V4 and the more I look into its heritage (starting in 1984) the more I like it.

EDIT - the thing is.... all the reviews of the SV650 rave about how "flickable" the bike is. Plus its popular in racing so the aftermarket has a lot of suspension/performance components.

You are... unfortunately most companies still price based on an 80 cent canadian dollar as opposed to a dollar at parity. Ford is one of the few companies that have adjusted their prices in canadian dollars to reflect exchange rates in the past 2-3 years

EDIT - in the US, it sells for $17,499 USD

EDIT2- But even still, for 17.5k USD you have a MotoGP bike with a street legal engine. Can't complain over that.

Does anyone know the quarter mile times of the XR 1200X? I googled but finding quarter mile times is about as hard as finding a HP number on the HD website ;)

EDIT - I found a review that quotes Bike Magazine as getting a 13.11 @ 103.9 MPH. Any other reviews?
EDIT2- found Cycle World ran a 12.63 sec. @ 105.50 mph. Quite a disparity! Which is closer to reality?
