Over the summer I was thinking about what to do to my white car this winter and I decided on 2 things.
1. Upgraded heads and intake
2. Clean and repaint the entire underneath
Well a few days ago, I looked under the carpet in my trunk and it wasn't a very pretty site. A few places it rusted through and there were some other spots that needed attention. So this became another project added to the above list. And while I'm doing this i figured I'd replace the crap horizontal 94-95 tails with some decent looking vertical ones.
Since I'm going to have the car up on jack stands for a while redoing the bottom side, I figured it'd be a good time to throw on some suspension stuff too like control arms etc. so thats coming also.
So, like always, the two major things I wanted to do this winter turned into 4.
Earlier today Caleb(police4.6) and I started ripping into the car. He started taking the motor apart and I started in the trunk.
This is what we started with under the hood:
After some time pulling all the junk, we got the upper off:
If all goes to plan, the lower, blower, and heads will be off by tomorrow night.
Here is what the trunk looked like after i pulled all the carpet and stuff out:
As you can see it looks like junk and I hate that lol. Some of the rust spots are visible in the picture but they are certainly clearly visible in person. And i also found out that i was missing a motor or amp or whatever it is!
Its amazing how much just a little cleaning makes it look better though.
I was running out of time so all I did was cut out the rusted threw holes and started sanding.
The plan is to get the rest if the trunk sanded down, patched up, and painted tomorrow. The goal is to make it look alot healthier and cleaner which should happen.
