    Fender height

So Nate and I were talking the other night, and we were saying how we wish that the stang owners would measure their fender heights like the VW crowd did to see what kind of stance we all have in regard to how low our cars are.

I'm on stock springs, with (I believe) either 1 or 3/4 of a coil cut, front and rear. All isolators still in.

My front is 26.25" and my rear is 27.5" from the ground

    best pic I have hosted:

I'd love to go lower, but longtubes + FLSFCs + speedbumps = fail

your car is real low Brian, see if you can't get some measurements sometime this week. I wanna take out my isolators, but I know I won't be able to go over anything at all, and at this point, I'd rather just enjoy the car as it is.

I wonder how the various years compare in terms of fender height in relation to the actual bodywork, all things being equalized

I would measure mine but it would be very inaccurate with the front up as high as it is. Not having an engine sitting in there makes for some serious weight differences and height measurements. Perhaps in a few months I can get a better reading for you.

I'm curious too. I'll measure my SN95 gt that's on 03-04 cobra wheels and has eibach pro kit springs. I'll also check out my 86 that's on LMM platinum lowering springs. Should be interesting.

I'll have to measure mine tonight. I know there's only about 1.75" from the black air deflector thing under the front bumper to the ground lol, so my fender should be pretty low too.

I'd love to lower my car but I allready have replaced my lower chin plastic thing under my bumper twice. If I lived in another state where the roads weren't so shitty I would. Some people think my car is lowered allready and it's not.

My Capri sits high Seems meaningless unless you have tires sizes, different bodies etc .... Mine also changes depending on how air is in the RR bag ;)

    24 1/2" front, 25 1/4" rear

Although I don't think my garage floor sits very flat, so the numbers may be off a tad, but oh well.

the only thing that scrapes are the mufflers because of the custom exhaust setup (I'm sure a conventional out the back setup would be fine) and the black air deflector under the front bumper. My tires rub out back but only because of the spacers, but I'll be rolling my fenders soon to take care of that before I get a new pair of drag radials.

I used to have cut pro-kits (94svtcobra has them now), but now I have Team Z coil overs and tubular a-arms up front.
