    Turtle Wax Ice review

Well I did some reading online and wanted to do my truck up good once before winter. I constantly take care of my truck like it's my kid, so the paint is in great condition to begin with. I got the liquid clay and clay bar, along with there ice polish. I'm not sure if there's a difference in clay bars, but WOW am I sold. This ice clay bar is incredible. I have a silver truck so there is a ton of little marks along the bottoms of the doors. It removed every last mark with ease. I used the liquid first and it was OKKK at best, but the clay bar itself did all the rest!!!

Next up was the wax/polish. I was skeptical because it's the consistency of water almost. It made my truck shine like no other wax has so far. In the past I've used multiple different mequires products, nxt, cleaner wax, etc etc. So far I am in love with the products, although next time, I'd skip the liquid clay and go straight to the bar. I did the normal washing, dish detergint in the beginning followed by mequires car wash before the wax.

I am by no means a professional nor do I have the time or want to go through a true porter cable glaze, polish, wax etc etc steps.

I guess time will tell with how well it beads water and lasts. But so far from what I've seen, I love it!!!

Anyone else have any experience, yay's or na's?

I like the clay bar, the liquid wax......not so much, I have a hard time getting it off the paint, esp on black. It always seems to leave a residue. I stick to NXT wax on my car and I use turtle wax black wax on the black cars we have, I use it on dark colors too.

I LOVE the Ice polish - i bought it the first time i saw it in stores a couple years ago (after all the hype on commercials) and haven't turned back... but keep in mind, its exactly that, a polish.... it creates a spectacular shine, and personally, i think its easy as hell to use!! BUT, it won't last near as long, or be as protective as a less-shiny wax such as super-hard shell......

The nice thing is, since it tells you to spread the wax on the entire car, then buff the entire car, i was able to do my Trans Am in 1 hour flat... :)

I agree with you. All I use is Turtle wax Ice products on my stang. It used to use that liquid polish but found you had to buff the hell out of it. Very greasy. Switch to the ice paste polish and just love it. Then between washes I use the Detailer. I wasn't sold on the liquid clay bar. I plan on buying the bar.

forgot to mention I like the the ICE total interior care too, some interior cleaners really seem to strip the shine. And other protectants leave greasy looking wet crap behind. The total interior care cleans well and doesnt make your interior look like you soaked it in tire shine

I liked it when it came out, then used it on my black car and it made a freaking mess. Tried it on my red truck and paid attention to the details to see how smeary it was too. I'll stick with Wax Shop stuff for me ;)

I've read and heard great things about it, a good friend of mine uses nothin but Turtle Wax stuff. I did try the soap and it was ok, no need to try the other stuff though. I've got a porter cable and dozens of bottles of polishes, cleaners, waxes, sprays, etc.

IMO the easiest wax to use (apply and wipe off) is NXT paste or liquid hands down, it only lasts a month or two. It's a synthetic so it does shine and protect to an extent. I've got a couple cans of the old Meguiar's 16 blue cans and have no need or desire to try anything else...goes on easy, comes off easy, lasts a long time. Best of all it's not legal for sale in the US so it's for outlaws haha.

Waxes are like oil, find one you like, one that works for you then stick to it.

Agreed... Looked like I used grease to wax my car (black) took forever to get it off my paint

I love using the clay bar. I thinks its the best way to keep your paint in tip top condition.
