An open letter from PRP track manager Greg Miller

Posted on the PRP site today:

I would like to take this time and thank everyone for their support in the 2009 season. This season has been a very emotional roller coaster for many. Some are battling issues now, others have overcome their issues, and sadly, some lost the battle. Take a moment and thank God for each and every day that you get to wake up and share with your loved ones, family & friends. Nobody is promised tomorrow.

I added this coming weekend for the whole racing family, local and distant, to come and have a fun family gathering. This Saturday will be a time to hangout and see the family one last time for 2009. The race is for the fun of it and doing something different without pressure. There is cash purse involved, $200 to the winner and $100 to the runner up. The best part is that there will be a time for EVERYONE, spectators, racers, sponsors and employees to sit down and eat turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies and snacks and talk right before the holidays. So, please, everyone, come out with your everyday car and race. Even if you’re not interested in racing, come and spend time with the family. Family matters.

In closing, I for one am getting very excited for the upcoming season. There are a number of changes in order and a number of events tentatively on the schedule. The schedule will be released as soon as a few things get finalized and progress is made on upcoming sponsorship. I hope to make 2010 the biggest and best year ever in the history of the race track, and I hope each and every one of you is part of it. With the help of all of the racing family, this will happen. Keep an eye on the new website, as we are adding multiple updates weekly. If you have not signed up for the newsletter recently, please do so and help me make sure I have your most updated info. I will be asking on the website for everyone’s help and input over the winter – which is now a little shorter thanks to Mother Nature this month! Make sure to watch and click through the links. If you are a business owner that would like to be a part of making a great 2010 happen, please contact me at miller@pittsburghracewaypark.com as soon as possible. The more that gets done early the better for everyone.
Thank you all in advance and I hope to see EVERYONE Saturday.
