    Holiday Recipe thread

    What does everyone cook special for the holidays? I thought it would be interesting to see what other peoples family traditions are.

    Been wanting to do that for a few years now, just be careful. Check out youtube for exploding turkeys in a the fryers.

    My specialty is bread pudding with rum sauce. I went to culinary school and rarely cook anymore, LOL.

    Food!!

    Lou, im Polish, and man, My Uncle goes nuts!!! Turkey, Ham, Lamb and Duck!! Perogies, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, candy yams, And pumkin pie....Parsley potatoes, cranberry sauce, and some type of bean stuff,...been this way as far as i can remember He Does catering for diff events, and if you want good ass down home grub,,,, his kitchen is the place to be on the holidays!!

    really? I didn't know that. I considered trying to go to CIA (or the local, much cheaper equivalent) at one point.

    EDIT - to answer the original question, there is a bread stuffing in the family to die for at the table that I finally came close to replicating :)
