I would think both the mach 1 from that gen and 03/04 cobra engines should swap in, but I dont know if the trans has to go too.

Would you consider forcefeeding your v6 instead? There's quite a few proven combos to get to 400whp, a few have hit 600whp, and I think 1 has gone over 700 now.

I know the Mach and all the cobra motors will go it, I should of been more specfic, i was looking at other types of cars that arent mustangs, like what years of the lincolns and if any other 4v motors from different cars..

But no, im dont want to forcefeed the v6 cause i would rather force feed the 4v which will be happening. Less strain on the motor, more boost capable, and less work and probably less money than a v6.. I want to be around 600rwhp this year and probably 800rwhp next year..

My plan will be stock ci (built bottom end) 4v with big turbo for this year and then built motor over next winter and with the suspension i have and the rear end thats going in it im building it for it to dead hook with 800rwhp and not break

Ah ok... yes if 400-500whp isn't going to be enough for you, then you're probably better off going with the 4v v8's.

I think the lincoln you're thinking of the 03-04 navigators. I believe they have the 5.4 4v. I was researching swaps a while back and I think those are the years (may be others) in the navigator.

    Good luck with your build!

Not sure what your plans are but the 19k miles oem short block out of my cobra is for sale. Motor is still in complete engine form but I need to get the heads off anyways for my new short block. Just thought I would throw that out there, good luck either way!

Well, if you're going through all that, why not just swap a Navigator 5.4L in there?

Yeah, I believe he started to take some stuff apart but I will ask him.
I know he still has it though.
Let me know if you need mod swap info., my brother did a badass '03 motor swap into his '86 GT and its been running great for 3 years now.
That is a first year Mark 8 and they have the Teskid block and wide ratio AODE and IRS 8.8. Very good swap stuff, if you have the room/time to part out or plan a swap.

From what i have been reading, the difference is the 6 bolt crank, different cams, intake and alil different version of the b-head
