    1965 Mustang Doors

I have a question about both doors. They both are hard to close. You really have to be forceful to close them. Short of pulling the door panels off (which I don't want to do), would anything help smooth out the closing? I have heard that old Mustang doors are sort of like this. THANKS!

If everything is working and aligned properly, the doors will shut easier than those on your daily driver. Like Scott said, you might want to lube the hinge assembly. If it feels like the door wants to jump up as it latches, your hinges could be shot and need replaced. But definitely try to lube the hinge assembly first.

The doors on my wife's '66 GT sound like a vault closing when you shut them. And it only takes one finger to do it.

New door gaskets? Some of the after market gaskets have a high Durometer or hard rubber and it takes more compression or force to compress the gasket when closing the door. If all the gaps and cove lines are on the money i would look at the gaskets.
