I hope some of you older guys remember Don Cannon, a local newscaster. I knew he always had a problem with booze, but check out his breathalyzer numbers!

I remember times when he would seem drunk on the news set. Sally Wiggen once ran with him and tried to help, but no luck. Too bad,,,,
I remember when I was in grade school and went to a Steeler game with my Dad. We went to a tailgate party hosted by a guy with a nice motorhome. Anyway, who shows up but Don Cannon. I got to meet him, and he seemed like a really nice guy, but I do remember vividly how he was hitting the sauce. Not beer - but the hard stuff. Too bad he hasn't been able to get his act together. He must be loaded after all those years as an anchor. I doubt his liver will hold out long enough to spend it all...
