    Connecting Rods

I am looking at a set of Manley rods for me new 4v motor and i ran across a guy selling a forged crank and a set of manley rods and he gave me this part number (SVT MANLEY H-BEAM // p/n: 2R3V-6200-AA).. I ran this number and it came up as the stock connecting rod used in the 03/04 cobras.. Can someone confirm this? If its true what kind of Hp are they capable of?

It looks like the part numbers we have seen at the shop on cobra rods. I can check tommorow to verify for sure. They are very stout pieces. What kinda of hp goals do you have in mind?

Looking to build a good enough bottom end for around 800hp at the end of it.. 4v based off 99/01 cobra with atleast a 76mm turbo

Yes that sounds about right. I will say people have pushed well past the limits listed of those rods with a good tune! We know of quite a few actually.

You think 700 at the wheels a stretch?

No not at all. I believe that is a very over cautious rating. I've seen way more power made with them. I have not heard of many rod failures. I have heard of alot of piston issues. That is indeed the same part number as the cobra rods we have at the shop.
