    Site mash

I stumbled across this site mash while looking for guitars. It searches ebay and craigslist for a few different categories. Beats the advanced domain search in google.

I couldn't get the blow my dough to work up top, but the girls of ebay link works. Figured I'd pass it along, it's a cool tool to use looking for parts as well.

I been turned on to these Agile Les Paul copies. I've always wanted a real Les Paul but just can't justify the cost so I started investigating Epiphones. The older Korean models get some high marks, but they're tough to find at a decent price. The Agiles are made in Korea in those same factories and only distributed by Rondo Music. Somehow this guy has kept his costs real low and quality pretty high. Lots of comparisons to real Les Pauls show they come close to low end Gibsons and better than Epiphones for a fraction of the cost.

Gibson is a great company and makes great stuff, but IMO you pay a whopping amount just for the name.

I have around 30 guitars and in most cases when I'm done tinkering I'm useally holding my 1993 LP studio. It's by far the most versatile, best playing and sounding guitar in my collection which consist of a shit load of Strats, a few PRS's, a couple Ibanez's, an ESP, a Tele, a Suhr, a Kramer, a Hamer ......etc. Point I'm trying to make is spend a little more than you want and find yourself a nice used 80's-90's LP studio. Trust me you won't regret it or lose your money as name brand guitars are truly an investment!

I hear ya on the spend the $ for a good one. I bought an Ibanez (hate that wizard neck and Floyd Rose) for about $750 in 1990. It's probably worth $150, if even that, now. If I'd been smarter and spent a couple hundred more on a Gibson it could possibly be worth exactly what I paid or just a little less. And I wouldn't want to sell it or set it on fire. Live and learn, all I wanted to do back then was shred The Agiles seem to hold their value reasonably well so we'll see.

With buying a house a few yrs back and trying to make it what we want we've been kind of taking the cheaper road for a bit and spending the better money on the house...buy a V6, buy a cheaper guitar, etc...
