I have it on my 4r70w turbo car and it works well. I have it set at 3500 rpm and have it tied into my transbrake switch, so both disengage off one button.

I've been using one and depending at startline traction anywhere from 5800-6200. Mines wired into button on shifter along with line lock. Course driveline is built to handle the repeated abuse and has held up perfect so far.

I have mine wired into my clutch switch. It's set at 3k rpm's. It works great. I have only used it at two different events. The first was pre drag radial so that was too high. With the Nittos, 3k works well.

    Manual Tranmission

I used the 12V source option to control the unit. I tied it into the clutch switch (switch that kills the cruise control when the clutch is pedal is pushed in.

There is some wire loom on the black factory wires that I removed then reinstalled.

Tap the (blue and white) MSD wire into the (black) clutch switch wire that is closest to the firewall.

You do not use the solid blue wire on the MSD unit. I just tucked in under the dash after taping off the top. The blue wire is to activate the system via a ground so be sure to tape off the top so it doesn't ground itself on something.

Yeah I was just wondering did you use it at the PRP event I saw you at in October?

Yes. I used it both at PRP and at the FLD's at Beaverun. However, at PRP, I had the Nittos on and got excellent traction. While at the FLD's I spun the length of the track.

I used this for about 4 passes. Removed it and sold it. It was killing the car at the line. Good luck with it.

I never had a single issue with. Consistent 1.42-1.44 60ft times with the 6 speed.

Works fine now with the auto tied into the transbrake circuit.

The only way I could see it hurting 60ft times would be by sitting on it too long which would load up the cylinders with a bunch of fuel.

This was one of the best devices I added when I had the 6 speed.

Thanks. My car is a stick shift, and it seems to help with consistancy. Without it, I am unable to hold the engine at a steady rpm. I don't know if this is because of my shakey nerves at the line or the throttle by wire on the S197's. Either way, so for so good.

The drive by wire makes holding the RPMs steady a pain in the ass. With that 2-step along with the NT555Rs and a prepped track your stang is a whole new animal. Glad to see ya finally got the car working for ya so you can embarrass me! Hope to see you around next season.

Thanks Mike, but I have a sneaking suspicion that you are going to have something new waiting for us all come spring time.

S197 is a whole different ball game ... I actually sold my launch control to a guy that has a S197. And sounds like you are close to stock if you are racing with nittos. Good luck with it!

Its loading the cylinders with fuel. It will initially hook and then bog because of the excess fuel in the cylinder. Maybe it doesn't bog bad enough for you to notice.

And 1.43 average with your kind of power really isn't all that impressive. Especially when the average eaton car goes 1.45-1.50.
