    2004 Mountaineer Throttle Hesitation??????

Hey Guys, I have a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer AWD 4.0 V6. I just got back from my 6 month deployment and my soon to be ex was driving it while I was gone adn I have noticed that it hesitates when you push the gas pedal before the car actually takes off. And when it does it lurches do to the throttle being depressed further then you should for starting out.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Carbon build up on the TB. Try to clean the IAC also.
