    from the sound of that x pipe it made around 422 at the wheels and 385 torque based on how long it took to make the pull

    well it could be 422.5 so we could round up to 423? i need to listen to it a couple more times to get the final numbers

    Does it matter what gear is in it when you calculate the torque from the duration of the pull?

    yes but the car is na so i know it at least has a 4.56 or 4.88 in it so that tells me the run should not take long at all ....... setting stop watch.....

    Is there a fundamental principle(s) used to calculate the power? If there is, can you post it?

    hp=(tq x rpm) / 5252

    from all my experience, watching dyno pulls, i would call it a gift, and yes 5252 is the correct number and where your hp and torque are equal or your scalling is off

    yes its a mod car...ive seen it in person at ModularDepot and it does have a tall gear in it. All of Ken Bjonnes pulls are done in 4th gear and trust me there is more in it. His tunes are never to the edge unless he needs it to win the race lol

    What would be the advantage of not extracting every bit of avg. power on an N/A, heads up class car?

    When a couple of hundreths separates number 1 through 4 in qualifying, I highly doubt anyone who is in it to win a championship is gonna leave something on the table in an ultra competitive heads up class.
