There was a checkbook built Vette (actually a pair of them) at the track last summer. ... One of the assclowns was in the burnout box doing the same thing ...

Troy was there that night, can't remember who else was there ....

BTW - What would any of our vendors here do for him, bolt in a new clutch? You can't fix stupid.

I recall seeing those two check-book built vettes there. The one sounded stout, and the e.t. wasn't half bad either.

Maybe a dumb question, but how does one smoke a clutch other than a car with to much horsepower for the clutch to hold it, or to little with to sticky of tires? This car couldn't of had tons of mods or the dealer would'va said f' the clutch.

Too much brake psi in the rear and the power can't overcome the pressure. He basically stood too hard on the brakes when attempting to heat the hides.

Yep, black one sounded nasty and was fast. This one sorely needed the driver mod ;)

There was another video that showed up on a couple of boards, but it's now marked as removed by owner .... It was a last generation TransAm, same thing, going to burn off the last of the tires. He sort of got a burn out going, car was moving a little, then it blew up the clutch taking out the back of the engine, trans, and cutting up the floor board. Story is, it totalled the car.

    Line loks rock ;)

I wasn't even thinking he was standing on the brakes.
