Tires

So I have a major issue with my tires, I am running a 315/30, it has no sidewall. Would it be a major difference if I went to a 305-45? I could run that on the street and then get a 15" set of rear wheels with a 28x11.50 slick for the track eventually, is it worth swapping to a 305-45 in my case?

you sure its not a 315/35? If your going to get another set for the strip, i would just keep the 315s for the street

Nope its a 315-30-18, 25" tall, the ones I am looking at now are a 325-40 which is a 28" tall for the street, when I go to the 4.0l blower I have sitting at home I will want the best tire I can get for the street, with as much flex as I can get...

that 325/40 is the best of both worlds.. Gives you the sidewall and more tire to the pavement

Yeah I just think that tiny sidewall isn't going to do me any good with the 315's and I will be able to keep my CCW's for the street instead of having to get rid of them, finally can get rid of my 2.2-2.1 60ft times and get under 12.20's

Toyo (Nitto's parent company) also makes a 315/35/18 DR.
As far as the 325/40/18 goes, I'm assuming you're talking about the M&H DRs?
If so they run stupid small/skinny unless they are resizing them correctly now.

Are you sure toyo runs a 315 35? Like I said the m and h is a 28" tall vs my 25" m/t that I have now

I plan on using the 345/40/17 at 27.7" on an 11" rim.

M&H 325 looks like a 275 tops from the pics I've seen. My brother also had a guy send him pics of a 325 on a 9.5 rim and it looked small. Supposedly someone said they are resizing the tires to be bigger, but haven't paid attention.
