They were supposed to be welded but when GNL did the suspension he refused to weld the boxes because someone had the great idea the put a crap load of undercoating under the car.
I ran my grey car 6 years with completely stock torque boxes with 1.45 60's and they are still perfect and I put more passes on a car in 1 year then most of the guys on here put on in 2 life times.
I would say switching to rod ends instead of bushings was too much for the unwelded torque boxes.
