Lasota comes to the shop that sponsors me and I do all the work to the car at which has a mustang dyno. If I was worried about dyno numbers I would take it to a dynojet. Im more interested in how fast I can get my car from A to B in the 1/4 mile. I see guys all the time that say they make 5xx hp but yet there car runs 12's. My setup in my old car went 11.09 @ 118 with an AOD and full interior. It made 323hp on a dynojet. I just use the dyno as a tool for tuning my car and Im a firm believer in the fact that the motor should be loaded to simulate real racing conditions. This has been an arguement for years which can be argued so I just stick with what makes sence to me. Many people have luck with the dynojet and thats what they prefer
Thanks man, same goes to you
That is still alot of torque for a 347/AOD on a Mustang dyno.
I agree with you on dyno testing, the track will tell you what its really making.

Now if you had just stayed in Pittsburgh instead of getting chassis work done in Ohio.... tool!
Well I fixed the fuel delivery problem and made a couple more pulls to get things ironed out before Lasota comes. Ill post the numbers now and when I figure out how to upload the video from my camera to youtube ill post it. This combo was put together to make tons of torque. Before I made some changes and I made pulls on a dynojet it made 323whp and 417wtq. I made changes to the combo this winter to get the car into the 10's NA but still stuck with the plan of making tons of torque.
After fixing the fuel delivery problem and making some adjustments, it made 429whp and 498wtq NA on a mustang dyno. Im now comfortable enough to let Lasota to have at it.
Im sorry bud but that Mustang Dyno is inaccurate at best.
NO 347 is going to make anything close to 498 rwtq
429 rwhp with your combo is possible though.
Either way it doesnt matter, only what she runs at the track!
Dyno is only a tuning tool........
Good luck with your tune by Lasota
How much spray are you hitting it with? That's got to be about a 150 shot at least.

Its all on the combo. I gave a general build but not every detail. The my combo last year made 323whp and 417wtq NA. The car weighed 3150# it ran 11.13 @ 117.9 Do you know why the ET was so good for the MPH? Because the car made good torque and 60ft @ 1.45. MPH is down because it didnt make too much HP. Every build is different. I bet my 347 EFI NA AOD will leave harder then your 427 EFI.
Its true its all in the combo, but I still don't see how you're making almost 500rwtq on a Mustang dyno. What changes did you make that would account for a change from 417rwtq on a Dynojet to 498rwtq on a Mustang dyno?
Thats partially why we agree on the dyno statement, what it runs this year at the track should answer the question.
Also, what gear? It could very well leave harder than my 427, but I never had enough track time with it, so 11.47@125 is not a good representation of what the motor would have ran.
I was giving you my results because thats what I'd make my guess from. I'm assuming you will still weigh in around 3150# and should make some improvement on that 117.9mph trap, how much is to be seen.
Good luck.

The 11.47 isnt a good representation for sure. With more track time you should be in the 10's easy. This car is 60# lighter then the old car. The big changes I made were, having the stock out of the box TW heads ported by foxlake and the holley intake, 36# injectors from 30#. And diferent headers, 3" bassani Xpipe, 3" bullets from the 2.5" mac hpipe and mac muflers. Im not worried about it like I said pick a dynojet or other mustang dyno and Ill gladly take my car and pay for the pull. My prediction for the ET on this build will be no less then 10.90 if the car hooks.
I just wanted to let you guys know that im not offended that you're questioning it. I enjoy the discussion. We're all car guys here.
And dont forget these are uncorrected numbers with a shop temp of 64*

Mike you will be running 10's bud. Should leave real hard once you get the suspenion dialed in. You were already 1.4s and all twisted up. Plus getting that motor fine tuned and the lil things you did. I just want to call shotgun for 1st pass
