Full manual valvebody there is no drive gear. It has a bung but I dont need a a/f reading.

Great thread going here guys.
Balaska, I think it's the super secret piece I sold you in PepBoys parking lot that's making all that torque..LOL
yeah I new what you were getting at, it has no problem. It acts as a stick without a clutch pedal.
I dont think Im willing to spend a $100 bucks just to prove that i must be one of the best SBF engine builders according to some. This isn't a mail order engine. If any of the nay sayers on here are willing to pick up the bill when the car makes big torque, Ill bring the car down. If not, we will just have to wait till I post the time slip.
Only on 94 and up AODE's - they are electronically controlled. AODs on 93 and earlier are not electronically controlled and cannot be locked via a tune - just to clarify a bit.
Any dyno numbers on a car with this loose of a converter are really only good for tuning comparison data, i.e. does it pick up with "X" amount of spark. Dyno calibration software really doesn't know what to do when it sees a curve like this. On any car I see like this, with a good loose converter - and we have tuned plenty of them, I also see a perfectly flat MAF curve - really normal. I have seen some cars with loose converters make apparent low power for the combo, as in 275-300 RWHP, then end up running 10's or better at the track. In fact there is a guy on corral.net (can't remember his name) with a wild 347 combo that 'made' 275 RWP and ran 9's. One of our old Dedpedal Racing buddies, Jeff Lange has a 347 fox body with a C4 and a 4800 stall converter, did a similar thing on the dyno and went 10.88 at the track - 9's on spray. Jeff's car is a bit wilder with AFR 205's etc, but otherwise real similar.
Not saying the numbers for the OP were 'bogus' as in made up, they were what they were - just not usable as an A-B comparison as you could do with a stick car or one where you could lock up the tranny. The numbers would be just that, numbers- doesn't matter on a Mustang Dyno or a Dynojet.
I do have have to say that the car is IMMACULATE and he did a terrific job with the motor and tranny and general setup. Don't see that many Foxes set up this nice.I really think his track times, if he can get those 60' times where they were, will be terrific!
Don
Definitely looks like a nice car, I'm sure it will run well too! I don't really care what kind of numbers any car makes on any dyno, I'm more concerned with how consistent the testing is being performed. That is what will tell you if your modifications made power and where. That is what will tell you if your tuning is making power and where. A to B comparisons are useless and are the cause of many dyno debates and arguments!

What is the smaller wavy curve?
Thats more where I was expecting the curve to be, still can't see a 569 rwtq NA 347 through an AOD.
I guess I'll make 1000+rwtq soon by this auto swap, that'd be cool.

The smaller wavy line is the first pull before Don and Rob touched the car. I wanted to see what the car was gonna make on that day with my setup. That way I could really see what what improvments they made. You can see by the graph how much smoother the curve is which will also get me a much better average. The other thing I like about the tune from Lasota is that he sets it up safe and adjustments can be made at the track to fine tune the ET.
People get too caught up with dyno numbers. We all know the BS stops when the light drops.
Thanks for all the compliments guys. It wont be long before it hits the 1/4.
No hard feelings at all. Race weight will 3150# give or take a few. We weighed it and the exact number at race weight was 3152#.
I wanted to thank Don and Rob at Lasota's for tuning my car. I can't say enough great things about them. These guys are great at what they do and it doesn't matter how mild or wild your combo is they still treat you and your car with great respect.
Yeah the Foxes are generally lighter. Plus when I decided to build this car I made the decision not to put any mild steel in the car. Other then that and the Kirkey seats everything is basically there. I refuse to gut and chop up my car for a better ET. The plan with this build is for the car to look as good as it runs.
That would be just fine with me
What did they tune it with? The other thing I like about the tune from Lasota is that he sets it up safe and adjustments can be made at the track to fine tune the ET.
My youngest brother's Fox has an SCT tune but they don't support the flash tuners like '96+ so its just timing and FP at the track for him.
