TMA V6 Turbo Kit + Supporting Mods

Thought I'd post this here before I hit up the big boards. It'd be a lot easier for someone to pick this up rather than ship it.

I most likely won't be able to completely tear it down until the spring, but to ensure you're serious, I'd require a down payment of some sort, or possibly a payment plan if you can't pay right away. (I just don't want to run the risk of agreeing to sell to someone who has no real intent of buying... then missing an opportunity to sell the kit to someone who actually wants it.)

    So anyway, what I'm offering.

    Price: $3600

Firm on the price, and I'm not parting out individual parts from the kit. If you're interested but don't need some of the parts we can talk, but for the most part, this is how it will be.

    What you get:

    • TMA turbo kit
      1. race kit piping w/ high flow cat
      2. y-pipe to MAC catback dual exhaust
      3. OBX front mount intercooler
      4. HKS super sequential bov
      5. TiAL wastegate w/ 10 psi spring
      6. GT35/40R ball bearing turbo (water cooled)
      7. hoses, fittings, bolts, clamps
      8. coolant reservoir
      9. K&N filter

    • DEI exhaust wrap and silicone coating on hot side piping

    • Ford 310lph fuel pump

    • 39# fuel injectors

    • SCT Big Air 2800 MAF (installed in piping)

    • MAF adapter harness

    • BBK O2 extenders

    • Xcal2 (unlocked) w/ SGS Automotive dyno tune and possibly the base tune I got from Andy

    • the already tapped oil pan if you want it

    • 3 pod Auto Meter gauge pillar

    • Auto Meter boost guage

    • Auto Meter Water Temp Gauge

    • Auto Meter Oil Pressure Gauge

    • battery relocation kit

I'm fairly sure you're getting EVERYTHING you need to install this except pipe thread tape to install your coolant and oil lines, etc. I priced this out with the receipts and records I've kept and new, this cost me $6500, not including shipping, taxes, the oil pan, or any additional parts or tools I bought.

This was installed in the Summer of 2006 on my 2000 and has less than 1500 miles on it. This will fit the splitport 3.8/4.2 engine (99-04 Mustang) Any questions, feel free to ask.

You wouldn't sell just the turbo kit would you? Not the injectors, pump, gauges, maf sensor, bov, battery relocate, xcal, etc. I'd be interested in the turbo kit but not the supporting stuff which I already have.

Do you have link of a website of where you got it from?

I can't answer the rest, but he bought the kit from www.tmaturbo.com. Pretty sure the kid (andy) that was building them quit, but he might still be around.

TMA makes a good kit, but I think he's on hiatus at the moment from making kits for the v6. I lurk the v6 boards and there isn't a single person who has had a complaint about his kits. There is a dyno thread from when he put this kit on his car and the torque curve was impressive.

If I could ask, what's the reason you're selling? Going blower? Back to stock to sell/trade? Want money to rock the rex? :)

Well, like I said, I put this on in 2006... and in 3 1/2 years I've only put 1500 miles on it. Last year I don't think I even hit 100 miles. It's just too much cash sitting around, not to mention it carries full insurance (though discounted because it sits during the winter). I don't really have the time to finish it up like I want and I don't really feel comfortable selling the whole thing as is... so for anyone interested, I'll be posting up some other threads in the near future selling other things. (Engine, miscellaneous parts, and the rest of the car.)

As for future plans, I don't know right now. Perhaps a terminator one of these days. :)

That thread is located HERE and has the dyno graph in the first post.
