    Boat Question - Fprd motor

I am in the market for a ski boat. Nothing crazy, just something to have a few friends :) on and drink some beer. Something open so I can fit people on it.

What manufacturs out there have Ford motors?

I found this but its a bit old.

If you mean the "cobra" reference, OMC uses that as a trade name.

Several boat engines are based on, or use Ford parts, but are typically modified in some way so it's not Ford any more. There is a 2.3L 4 cylinder that uses a single 460 head, there is also an engine based on the lima 2.3, then several based on the V8's. I'm sure there are true ford engined boats out there, but suspect they are going to be older stuff since most of them now buold their own or use specialized makers (like OMC)

Most commonly used in ski nautiques they usually come with gt-40 351s(old school lightning) motors they are rated at 300hp, any of the new efi bigblock boats will be cheyys. boats are usually listed by horsepower not cubic inches due to the common practice with outboards being listed by hp not displacement.

Master crafts also use ford engines. At least the older ones do.
