I'd go with the Fusion. That one already has the nice wheels unlike mine, but mine do clean easy! Mine has the 3.0 and man does it run! Plus it gets good milage and the consumer ratings are great on it. And there's some descent after market goodies out there for them as well. Can you tell I really like mine?

That fusion has the sport package on it. The suspension is firmer than a regular fusion. The chrome is actually smoked chrome. The dealer has the wrong option list stated in the ad. It just doesn't have auto headlights or heated seats. Its a nice sporty car and great with insurance, safety and fuel economy. I will post a pic on mine later. They look great tinted too. Look at mywinter neater thread here. Haha

if you're looking for a used car in that price range, is he going to consider something like a G6 or a Nissan Altima??

I think the G6's are the best looking cars in that category, and i've heard decent thing about Altima's... go to autos.msn.com and youll be able to see what all cars are in that category ... might find some new ideas

Why not get a 99-04 GT?

About the same fuel mileage as anything mentioned here, but way more performance.

    And they're cheaper too.

And he isn't really a mustang fan

He's heading down to Hi-endauto to check out an RX8 that they have either this weekend of next.

I can say as a Jetta owner, i have been very happy with the car, drives like a much more expensive car, and the build quality is light years ahead of any other car in its price range. Mine isnt fast, only the 2.0 8V, but it sticks to the road big time.
