    Kooks Long Tube Headers

Are these headers really that good or are they just very expensive? Looking to buy a set of long tubes for a 99 GT , and i dont want to buy junk headers.

They are very good especially if they are stainless steel. I also like the bassani headers but they are also expensive but you ca get ceramic coated which is a little cheaper.

even for the LSx cars, Kooks headers are rediculously expensive... but yes, they are good headers... the advantage is that with them being stainless, they will never rust.. also, i believe stainless has less of a tendancy to warp, but don't quote me on that.... Stainless is much more expensive than other materials...

Ceramic coating is nice, but it will eventually show wear as well...

I've had 2 KOOKs sets between my brother and I---one good set, one bad.
Might want to check with Mike at Wolfpack and see what he's had sucess with on the '99+ cars.

Kooks, ARH, Stainless Works...all make a very nice header and worth the money IMO. SLP also has a good header, not as nice as the previously mentioned but far better then the junk MAC, BBK PYPES, etc make

I'm going to have to agree with Wolfpack Mike on this one. ARH and Kooks are 2 of the best headers on the market. Headers are def a "you get what you pay for" item, and to me stainless is the only way to go. I am also a fan of ceramic coating, while not necessary, it def keeps underhood temps down drastically.

Lots of 5.4 guys like the Kooks, ARH and Dynatechs. I went threw this exercise a few months ago and ultimately went ARH. The only reason I didn't go Kooks was because they're not a true "full length header" .... figured go big or stay home!

Disclaimer: I'm not sure if this is true with the 4.6 setups.

I ordered my set of Kooks through Maryland Speed since they can drop-ship them off to get Jet coated... Im happier with them on my S197 then the set of Hooker headers.

I got a set of Pypes stainless longtubes on mine, they were a little under 400 bucks. It was between them and BBK ones for me. You can't beat them really, the best bang for the buck ya know. Kooks are cream of the crop ones, if your rich and got loot to blow just on headers do it.
