    tech help

I am in the process of switching from my manual rack back to power steering. I put the pump back on and started to try and take the manual rack off. I can't get the tie rod ends out of the spindles. I used a tie rod separator tool with no luck. I also tried a BFH. Is there a trick to this or what?

You're doing it right, Tie Rod Separator and a 10# sledge should do it! Just don't be afraid to hit it!

BTW, what are you doing with the manual rack?

I thougt that is how you did it I just wasn't having any luck. The manual rack is out of a 79 stang. I have the adapter for the steering shaft also. I will sell it as soon as I get it swapped over. I want to get my power steering back on before the 5 lug swap is done. I will have Weld big-n-littles for sale then. Also an extra pair with drag radials on them.

They will put up a good fight sometimes when you're trying to get them off. Just have to swing harder! :D

Lou was telling me about your wheels / tires, but I went 5-lug and already picked up a set.
