You are on a different page...
Just because the main bore is reduced by .001 doesn't mean you bearing clearance will be reduced the same amount.
It may not change the bearing clearance at all. The bearing is just going to have more crush on it.
Not to mention the coating will actually reduce the bearing clearance by twice that amount as both the top and bottom bearing are coated.

I guess you'll have to get the align hone redone and then see what the actual numbers are.....
I don't think you're going to get away with reducing the crank journal in the block by .002 and not changing the clearance, unless there is currently no bearing crush at all.

The 2nd rings were adjusted in the same manner for .014" end gap.
The oil ring rails were all checked to assure there was at least .015" end gap
