    Think I'm selling the Termy!

I think I'm selling the 03 Cobra. I have been debating about it for some time. If i didn't have two kids and the jetskis, motorcycle, boat, quads and all the required maintenance and up keep that goes with them, I would probably not part with it. I think I'm going to just keep the 90 LX I have and do what it takes to make it into a low 11 high 10 sec. vehicle with working air and dependable. I just like the thought of the extra cash I will be able to pocket. The cheaper mait. costs when something breaks and ease to work on unlike the costs now. Plenty of parts available. And bottom line it will still be fun to drive. I know part of it is I have a real soft spot for a nice fox. It's the era I grew up around. My one brother thinks I'm crazy. I told him he is hung up on the word "COBRA" as being the holy grail of mustangs. I told him this isn't a pissing contest. IDK. I do know the 03-04 cobra is probably the best late model mustang of the fox body platform for ease of modification for the horse power dollar. Any thoughts chime in.

Man you sound like your goin back and forth pretty good. All I can suggest is think it over completely and once you have a decision ask yourself if youll be happy w/o it in your stable. If you truely will and wont have the "want" for another one then sell it. This is how I look at selling items I truely care about.

I know I will definately miss the car but with my other finances I think the fox will fit better for now. I'm pretty interested in the 2011 GT actually. Figured I'd wait a while and pick up a used one if they pan out to be what they are suppose to be.

I'm a Fox guy at heart myself. I sold my 03 Cobra Vert several years ago now and I can still honestly say I don't miss it at all!

About a year after I got rid of it, I picked up an 06 GT that was bone stock, 250 horsepower less, and I liked it 1,000 times better than the 03 Cobra. That car too is gone and now I only have my 88 T-top GT and my 90 GT left.

The 88 is still an ongoing project that since my Wife and I just recently purchased another house, it will sure to be kept on the back burner again now. My 90 on the other hand, I just took the turbo kit off the car, stroked the engine out to 342 and added a S-trim to it. Once I get the IRS in it, I'll be able to at least enjoy it some.

Thanks guys, not really seeking approval just seeing if it sounds crazy with what I'm doing. Ed, why you going with the I.R.S. in your fox? Besides increased handling?

Mainly doing it just to be different. I only drive the car a few times a year if I'm lucky and never have time to make it to the track, so I figure why not. Not sure how much better the handling will be and really don't care. I am curious to see if there is any wheel hop with 500+ RWHP in a Fox. Not sure since the Fox is much lighter than the Cobra.

Post up some pics Ed when you get it done. Curious of what all is required in this swap. I still think you will get the wheel hop. Nothing some bushings and an I.R.S. brace can't fix.

I can relate. I have pondered selling mine for a year or so now. I am probably going to do it this year. I don't need the money and hey it's just a car, I can get another one and probably will. Most likely going to be a C6 Z06. I have been pissing around talking about it for some time now. I am probably going to step up and do my share to help the economy. I know there will be haters out there about this move but some can understand. Right, Bish..? LOL

You can get a used c-6 z06 for less than some gt500's out there.

It's just my opinion. I'm not sold on the gt500. Don't get me wrong you can make them beasts, but stock for stock you know yourself the cobra will get raped.

I thought you were full of S**T until I looked ... WOW used C6 Z06 prices are very reasonable!

    Example: 06 z06 9k miles for $45k! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...item4a9eefe8f3

Do yourself a favor and just start setting your cash in the garage instead cause that's all the further your Z06 will get if you buy one!
