New pics for the new forum

Well, since all i had were some exterior pics of the new car, i decided to take some of the car all around.... enjoy :D

I was standing outside, where it was snowing, so that's what all the white dots are in this pic

Don't mind the LCD guage hanging below the steering wheel... it velcro's on top of the steering column but i don't like looking at it all the time so i let it hang

    Nitrous toggle switches

That thing looks clean by the pics. I didn't realize it was modded. Those ls motors love the juice, how does it feel?

yup, definitely has its fair share of mods.... from my original post when i first got it, below are the mods....
car feels absolutely awesome!... b/c of the weather, i haven't gotten the car on Wolfpack's dyno yet, but prev owner said it made just over 400rwhp N/A and just over 530 rwhp with n2o..... haven't used the n2o yet for 2 reasons: 1 - the weather and 2 - for the longest time i thought it was setup/wired wrong, b/c the nitrous controller was reading a 2nd stage of nitrous... after tracing and verifying a million times that the wiring was right, i found out that it was just setup wrong in the software of the nitrous controller... i "unchecked" a box on the controller's LCD screen and viola! its perfect!!

i'm outrageously pleased with the transmission... i never thought i'd like an auto tranny, but this one is fully setup for a TON of power and has a high stall converter! Its a blast... and i can't possibly say enough about the handling... Vette's are amazing handling cars stock, and with the QA1's all around, its absolutely awesome!

yup, everything is top notch.... only thing i need to do is have a brake line made for the purge, and verify that the tune has enough timing pulled... i'd just like to verify for my own comfort that the tune is up to snuff

Nice, somehow I missed the mods. Sounds like an awesome machine for sure. Are you going to see what it does on the strip or just street cruise it?

yea, i'll take it to the track.... its not going to be a priority of mine, as i'm not a die-hard track guy... i bought the car to have a ton of fun with it on the street, but i won't be able to resist seeing what it can do at some point this summer! :)

I will definitely do so... it makes itself well known :D

i guess it would be considered a medium sized cam... most guys going for the good combination of very nice street manners and good power, go with a 224/224 cam.... this obviously is a little bit bigger than that, but my opinion of "streetable" is a little more wild than most... i would rather have something bigger/lopier, in the high 230's range, but for now it'll hold me over :)

I'd also like to get some cutouts put on the car sometime before spring... but i'm not 100% i'm going to... i wouldn't mind it being a little louder, as the z06 exhaust is a middle-of-the-road noise level exhaust at idle... although, with the LT headers and o/r x-pipe, it makes LOTS of noise under WOT, so thats why i'm not sure if i'm going to bother!

Looks good Bish! Think it would look alot better if you remove the door guards from the middle of the doors. I always hate when I see those on cars, Vette's and Mustang's especially.

Good luck keeping that thing clean!

Yea, i see a lot of vettes with those removed, yet i never knew they were considered "door guards" .... i thought they were just a styling que ...

Like i said, i see a lot of vettes on the net with them removed, but i haven't really compared pics side-by-side to see what i like better.... this is partially because i'm afriad that if i remove them, that the paint underneath them will not match the rest of the door, particularly since the body has 105K miles on it.... yea, it could be easily stuck back on with some of the 3M automotive double sided tape, but it seems like one of those things that would never look totally right again....

I'll have to do some pic comparisons and see what i like... thanks for the suggestion!

I would absolutely love to put the C6 Z06 Spyder wheels (see below) on the car, but i can't afford that right now, and i love the look of the C5 Z06 wheels anyhow...

The only other thing i may consider doing is putting on a set of Z06 rear brake screens (see pic below, infront of the rear wheel)... i think its a cool styling cue
