    6 or 8 bolt crank???

    guys,
    i am converting my 97 GT from an automatic to a 5 speed.......can anyone help me to determine which crank i have before i start taking out the tranny?....i'd like to buy the flywheel before i start tearing apart.

    Should be 6bolt. 99-early01 with windsor based 4.6 used 8 bolt. 96-98 and late 01-04 use 6 bolt on GT's.
