    can someone identify this part

Sorry for the Noob question here but i never knew what this is for or does..... kinda embarassing lol but the big silver round thingy

my buddy asked me and I thought it had somthing to do with the fuel regulator but not sure..

    is it a check valve???

if not can someone point me in the right direction to where the check valve would be located on a 98 gt. reason im asking is he is putting a procharger on his car and it says to remove the fuel check valve for proper install. is this a must??

this is not his car just a pic i found online

I am pretty sure that is a pulse dampener.

it should be on the line on the 98 GT too. I was looking and a fuel rail and hoses from a cobra and thats where its located

if you look really close in this picture you can see it hanging out right behind the intake tube

I think it actually *IS* a fuel pulse dampener. There is a return check valve in the pump..
