    PRP sucks!!!

I have been reading alot of people on here talking ***t on PRP. I race there every weekend and the only problems I see are the same ones I see at alot of other tracks I go to.

I started this thread to see what things people don't like about PRP.

That basically sums it up. I went there twice last year I think and got a total of 5 runs.

Yeah, thats my major complaint. $20.00 and you get 2 or 3 runs. Just not worth it. The first time I went there was at the end of summer, I got in 6 passes. That was awesome.

    1. They know NOTHING about buisness... Return calls/ e-mails would be nice...

    2. Stones = saftey hazzard

    3. On a test and tune night don't have a gamblers race it only cuts into test and tune time . Possibly have a street car only T&T...I have heard alot of other tracks get 5-10 test and tune runs.

    4. Be prompt if you start at 6:00 start at 6:00 NOT 6:30. get the ball rolling and keep the cars moving.

    5. Don't play favoites...I have heard them on the 2 way radio on RACE day telling the spotter put X racer in lane b "cause he doesn't like it". also heard them on the radio telling the clean up to stall cause they want to get home early.
If anyone is interested in the freqs let me know its very interesting/useful to know when its your turn to be ready to race.

thats my 2 cents...Ill think of more I am sure

I agree that it does take a long time to clean up a spill sometimes. I don't think that the track wants to clean up fluids off the track. They always stress if something doesn't seem right (smoke, noise), stop the car safely and they will get you off the track. Do you know how many times I have seen people break in the first hundred feet and continue down the whole 1/4 mile. That turns a 10 min clean up into a hour because of the driver. Also does any one know how hard it is to clean up synthetic oils compared to conventional oils and rearend fluid needs to be burned off the track. If the track cleaned up the spill half a$$ and people spun off the line they would **tch because of that. One time I was at BSD and they cleaned up a spill quick, but the next car down the track almost lost it a half track, so they had to clean it some more (thats a true story).

I also agree that everyone wants more than 2 or 3 runs, but when you have 200 - 300 cars and most of them have no idea what they are doing it is kind of hard. Some things just aren't possible.

When I go out to a bar and have some drinks with friends I spend more than $20. Prices aren't always going to stay the same. A gallon of milk used to be 25 cents and now its $3, gas prices, kennywood, cigs, they have all gone up (inflation). Does anyone no what it costs just for PRP to open, the costs of insurance, or to pay the ambulance to be there?

I am just trying to help people see that PRP isn't that bad.

If anyone on here could manage the track what would you do different?
I'm just curious because if they are good ideas I will suggest them to the track. :)

I never really have had any issues with PRP. Been racing at the track since 1993 when it was Keystone and umm it is FAR FAR better then it was in those days. I know I really avoid TnT days unless they happen on a weekend for the simple fact that there are many cars that show that you never see on a race day and they are usually the first to break and cause all kinds of problems. Besides I prefer the track prep of a race day as I never have issues then. Of the hand full of TnT's I went to last year I always had 4 runs and no less. That is fine for me as anything more is just hotlapping.

Yes the gravel sucks but the alternative is A: grass it over then everyone bitches about mud after light rain or B: blacktop it over and then everyone bitches about the cost of admission going up. Either way people are gonna bitch. Staging in the "street" lanes and your the lead car in the row. Then you need to put your hood up. What would really help is if people actual cleaned off rocks and debris from their tires. Then that would stop cars/people from being hit or the added time it takes to clean starting line.

If they black topped it, it would not be that much, Mike and Carmen are in good with Sonny Tresco. Thats who did the paving after we made it longer a few years back. What they almost have to do is make TnT night for street cars and street cars only. Have another night for the slick cars, bikes, jr's and whatever else. There are so many street cars there that there is no time for anything else. If that was the only thing running, business would be grreat. They would have two TnT nights, more revenue and happier people. People would come for sure.

I agree totally. There are just too many cars to get enough runs when they try to do it all in one weekday evening.

Yeah, exactly. Went to Cecil and IF it was closer I'd be there weekly without a doubt!!!! And the starting line has teeth in it and it's 320 ft. above sea level, and it's fast, and it's efficient, and etc.

A buddy of mine tried autocross last year and he liked it a lot. He said there were only four other cars in his class and he got a lot of runs. I think it was beaver run. I am planning on taking the bike there.

ive raced at alot of tracks over the years i would say prp is the worst managed track ive ever been to.they play favorites to alot of people and some of tech people are as dumb as the rocks in the pits.clean up takes way to long.they have gamblers race on test and tune and the food is to high priced.prp wants to get a national event please i would say it would never happen because they have no idea how to run the track.
