    New shoes for Babe

The front tires on Babe the Blue Ox, my 1994 F150 XLT, were on their last leg and I picked up a piece of glass in the sidewall of a rear tire ( that had lots of life left in it - go figure ), so with inspection coming this week I found a nice set of Mickey Thompson Classic rims with nearly new Uniroyal Liberator 31/10.5/15's. While I was putting them on, I decided to lose the running boards. Let me know what you folks think. First is a before pic with the stock XLT rims...

    Nice score Ron!

Get a good coat of wax on those wheels while the sun is still shining......no clearcoat + salt = ruined wheels.

    Thanks guys!

Clever - I'm waxing them up this afternoon. Didn't have time earlier because we took our kids and 2 others to the zoo for a little fresh air.
Now that the weather isn't so bad maybe we can find a good evening sometime soon to give you those parts!

I changed the oil this morning too, so she's all ready for inspection tomorrow - dropping her off tonight after dinner.

I love those body style trucks!!!! Looks really good man. Good choice on getting rid of the running boards.

I had a 96 Ext. Cab, man I wish I never would have gotten rid of it!

Thanks guys! I didn't think I'd end up liking the truck this much. I haven't had a pickup for 15 years, and I'm wondering how I survived without it!!

Now I need to find the time to get the minor rust repair done on the driver's front fender, and then Babe will be ready for cruise season!!
