That's nuts..Millers couldn't finance me without a Co signer, and I dont have anyone at all to co sign so. Kind of screwed there..guess I'll have to take a ride up there shortly.

oh, that's no surprise..... young kids on sportbikes are very expensive to insure... if you would get the breakdown of charges for that, i'd bet the majority of the policy premium is in the bodily injury section... liability only would be pretty cheap.... which you could get, but only if you finance through Yamaha.... which really sint' suggested, since what they do is put the cost of teh bike on a credit card for you.. a lot of times, they'll run something like 0% for 2 years and then some other APR afterward... its a great deal if you can pay it off in 2 years so if you pay $9500 for an R6, and have 24 pmts at 0%, that's approx. $396 a month... then insurance will be like $150/year.... 396 a month is ALOT... could have another nice car for that.... problem is, most people don't have the dilligence to pay it off in that 2 year period, adn then end up carrying around unsecured debt on a high interest credit card...

yup.. I got my dirtbike through yamaha, it was 0% for 2 years, but my dirtbike was only 5k and it hasnt been a year yet and its almost paid off and actually going up for sale to pay it off and get me a new DD. Harley is the only bike company that you need to have full coverage through if you finance through them...

I appreciate all the helps and opinions guys! Tried getting a deal set up at yamaha with a little more down than what I originally planned, but isn't going to work out. Told the salesman I could not have a co signer, and he really couldnt do anything for me unless I had at least 1/2 down on the bike. So, I guess I'm going to throw this idea in the back of my head until I get some more saved up. Like mentioned above, 3xx.xx is a little high for a bike per month, plus the insurance & everything else I have to keep up with now.

With the Supermoto bike, I figured I'd take it in the woods a few times, wipe out a time or two and it'd be done being street legal, probably get tired of throwing turn signals on it and whatnot, lol. So if I do end up getting something it'll be either an R6 or a GSX-R600 for sure. Guess I failed to realize everything that goes into buying a bike. But a lesson learned for sure. I'd say by the beginning of next spring I should have something descent, but we'll see..

like I said thanks again everyone for your opinions, input and thoughtfulness!
