So I bought a performance automatic c4 super comp off someone a couple months ago and everything was fine.... the other day I noticed a grinding/ whining sound while driving the car and shortly after I went to put the car into gear from neutral to 1st and it made a grinding noise then stalled the car it has done it several times now... not to sure what to do I dunno if it would be converter or tranny. It also whines in neutral sitting still

They do but its non transferable and I dunno who originaly bought it
Does it kind of sound like a power steering whine? If so it may be the pump going out.

Yes it would if there is no pressure the trans wont work. Depending upon the year I have a ton of spare c4 parts. My built one lost a planetary.
