I really can't see people knocking on your door taking your guns, Lol. This is going to happen with ammo. If you can't get the rounds they win this.

Agreed with the knocking on the door part. But if they do decide to take ammo off shelves and whatnot, this'll all end up kind of like drugs..they're illegal, but some how people are still going to get their hands on it and sell it.

The National Guardsmen and police officers who participated in the gun roundup in New Orleans need to rethink what they would do if ordered to do this again in another situation.

There is an organization called Oathkeepers, made up of military personnel and police officers, who take an oath to disobey any order that infringes on any citizens Constitutional rights including their 2nd amendment rights.

How many of us would really fire on US military or police personnel knocking on your door and demanding your weapons ? Once you've made the decision to do so, you've changed your life forever. There are pretty much two outcomes possible, death or incarceration.

Well, i'm sure if it came down to that, there'd be a lot of rebellious people not willing to give up their guns..I'm sure theres plenty of people out there who don't have much else to live for, and are so stuck in their ways & stubborn that they aren't going to let something like this take place. In my opinion, if it were death or jail time, I'm pretty sure I'd do whatever damage I could before I had a few bullets thrown into me..

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

So if the President violates his oath and orders the Military to start collecting weapons is he a domestic enemie since he's ordering the Military to violate there oath to "support and defend Constitution of the United States " and violate the 2nd Amendment that they sworn to defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic and violate your 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms?

If the situation ever arises, I think you'd have to form local militias. It's all well and good to assert your 2nd amendment rights, it just wouldn't be very effective to do it on your own.

Scary stuff to have to think about, but in this day and age anything is a possibility.

Of course, there's another often talked about scenario that UN troops, (who pledge no oath to our constitution), would be used.
