Being a little ignorant in politics and whatnot, what exactly is so bad about this government health care? I just dont really understand, are republicans, or higher class people going to be paying into something for lower class people so they can have health care, or what?

I don't have time to type up everything that's wrong with it, as i have to leave for work.... however, if you want an easy example of the problem with gov't healthcare, take a look at how long you have to wait to get any sort of specialty treatment as a resident of Canada...

Its not all cons... but the cons far outweight the pros imho

    Read the Bill!

Welcome to Canadian and soon to be Cuban health care when the experienced Doctors retire early. it's estimated 360K + Doctors will close up shop.

Then there's this little bit of info the news isn't telling the public!

    http://www.rollcall.com/issues/55_10...ml?CMP=OTC-RSS

During Senator Reid’s closed-door writing of the bill, leadership and committee staff exempted themselves from the reforms, which had been applied to members of Congress and their staffs,” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in a statement Tuesday. “Congressional leaders let the carve out stand. It’s an inexcuseable double standard.”

    Sieg Heil!

Socialized/Government ran health care has not and never will be a working option. Anyone with a brain can understand this concept is rubbish. In any country that has this type of program you better step up and pay for a private insurance policy or go out and pre-pay for your funeral NOW. Socialized medicine is great if you have a bone sticking out the side of your leg but god forbid you might need a heart bypass because if you do, so goodbye to your loved ones since you will be dead long before it gets done. I continue to thank all of those idiots who pulled the lever for dumbo with big ears Obuma. The only thing he is good at is deflecting/blaming others before him and spending "MY" money for me. Sorry but I do not care about Government health insurance, I already support enough people that I do not know through other countless government financed programs. I am all for no taxes other than to support fire, police, infrastructure improvements, and others in this category. Welfare NEVER. I have an idea get off the couch, put the crack pipe down and get a job.

My sentiments exactly! I still can not believe that with all of the un-necessary laws in this county we still do not have one that requires drug testing for those on welfare. Instead of hiring 17K people into the IRS to handle the "tax" (which is in fact a non-compliance fine but constitutionally they can not call it that) for those that do not opt into health insurance, hire them to monitor those on welfare and get the people that abuse it off of their asses and on the job hunt.

Yeah it's free after paying out the ass in taxes.

Any combined income over 89k with 4 kids is now considered rich and will be taxed fully for this bill.

89k, thats alot of people out there.

I use to have no problem making more than that a year, but now between all the illegals and this new tax that's been put on us, those days are gone for me.

Same here Rob. After adding the wifes income we should hover around that mark. Who knows whats in store for us...doesn't look good. I was listening to Hannity a little while ago. Him and Rush sound like they're ready to go head hunting, Lol.

I believe it, this is going to hurt small business guys like you the most it seems.

What I don't understand is talk radio says only 59% of americans approve of the HC bill. 100% of Americans I talk to are outraged by it. I guess it's because I don't live in the inner city that those numbers seem off?

Honestly I don't want my taxes going towards someone else's healthcare, but to me paying this isn't much different than paying school taxes and not having kids in school.

Which is something others did for you when you were in school.

I've always paid for my own healthcare..

And it wasn't fair for them either. I guess that train of thought is what this healthcare deal is about as well. We're paying for everyone's gradeschool education, so what difference does this make. Its really ****ed now because whoever wants it repealled is gonna be labeled as not caring about peoples health....
