    My 89 PGT

89 Probe GT that I picked up last fall, I just started working on it since the weather is nicer. I did some buffing saturday and it needs some more but it looks way better than it did.
    Mods
    K&N drop in filter
    Chiped ECU
    16 psi
    Addco rear sway bar
I have a UD pulley and a 2 1/2 exhaust waiting to go on. It needs rims in a bad way to.

looks real clean if that's original paint.....don't see many of those around anymore...that's for sure

When will it be making a pass @ PRP?....curious how well they run in modded form.

It only has 74k and is original front to rear. They are hard to launch being FWD, once it has exhaust and the UD pulley it should run low 14s at about 100mph with street tires.

Nice! I have an Turbocoupe IHI laying around ... The compressor side from the TC is a great upgrade to those :D Intercooler on those is a bit of a restiction too. Nice car for a driver, I would rock that

I think its about a 10-15 hp gain... There are a lot of restrictions on that car, the factory exhaust is 1 7/8 lol. I have $1700 in the car so far and it gets 27mpg.

    Arent they all ;)

Just had another though on your wheel situation ... The SVO guys look at Probe wheels because of the offset ... The '05 up Mustang wheels also fit the SVO's really well ... In theory, some of the '05 up take offs might work on that if you are looking for a cheap(er) wheel option, it would need a low profile tire. Be interesting if they would fit.

Thats what this thread was for...
http://www.steelcitystangs.com/forum...ad.php?t=19027 I would still need wheel spacers for the back I don't think a 17x9 would ever fit.

Yea it definitely needs wheels ha. I went to test drive an 89 PGT at a dealership a few years ago and the ebrake was locked up. I walked away from that ha.

Most definately a rare breed! My buddy that had one I was telling you about had a set of 18" rims that were off of my other buddy's 95 GT/Cobra clone. They looked pretty tight on it too!
