Yea in youngwood
I have heard nothing but good things
The tubular frontend decision is killing me:
Hand downs the best option is MM, but all in that kit is $1900. That includes c/c plates, k member, coil-overs, a-arms, bushings, 2-pt brace, steering shaft, etc. This kit still pushes the wheelbase out 3/4". I dunno if I like that. I don't wanna possibly cut up my front fender extensions.
My other option is PA Racing tubular, MM steering shaft, MM bushings, MM c/c plates, and keep my a-arms, springs, and shocks. That is $850, and retains the factory wheelbase.
I know its like comparing apples to oranges, and I guess ultimately its my money that has to buy it. :(
Thoughts?

+1, I wouldn't want to mess around with extending the wheel base. Plus that's a lot of extra coin that you can spend elsewhere.
I've seen the Team Z k member in smallville's car up on a lift and it looked to be great quality. If I ever end up going to a tubular K I will probably go with Team Z. The PA racing one is probably good quality as well, I just haven't seen one in person.
PA racing is pretty good. After I got all the crap worked out on my Team Z, I am pretty happy with it.

There are more but that's all that was logged!!!
I went with Anthony Jones after seeing their product at the springbreak shootout a few years ago. Its a nice package.
That wasnt smart. The car should be loaded with the suspension compressed as it drives down the road. Full weight and level. There is now a chance your will be on a perma-bind and the doors wont close correctly.

Hey Rob-
I talked to MM before welding the connectors. The guy out there said people weld connectors in all the time w/o the engines in. I had the car supported on the suspension and leveled during welding. I dunno.

I hope so too!!!
You really have me second guessing it though. What about race cars? Do they simulate the weight before adding connectors, cages, etc?

did my connectors while it was on a lift, car sits on three jack stands sometimes, not sure if its twisted from racing or something else. maybe the floor of the garage is off, lol
What type of lift did you use? Alignment type (drive on)?

I am really not sure about this. I know for cage installation, the car has to be perfectly level. Not sure about simulated weight though. I have never done frame connectors on a "roller" car. All the ones I have done drive in and drive out. I always check the doors with the owner here. I have him open and close them to be sure they are correct. If not, then I shim the stands to get the car to the normal load. That generally gets it perfect. No stuck doors yet. Done a great many sets too.
